TLUXX (Brian Johnson) is an Electronic Dance Music (EDM) DJ/Producer based out of Los Angeles; he is originally from a small town in New Mexico. In 2012, a Cancer scare forced Brian to give up his dream of becoming a major league baseball player. During his recovery time from surgery, and struggling with his purpose on this earth, Brian discovered Avicii. Avicii’s “My feeling for you” was Brian’s introduction to EDM. To ease the pain and trauma of surgery Brian spent hours upon hours in his basement learning the ins and outs of the music production and DJ performances; he quickly found his purpose in life, bringing happiness to people through music.
He was lucky enough to be welcomed into the DJ community in Albuquerque, NM where he was able to book over 50 shows a year. He represented New Mexico on the Dunes stage at the Sun City Music Festival, in El Paso, Texas and had residencies in Albuquerque’s Lotus and Gravity nightclubs before moving to Los Angeles to continue his musical education at the well know ICON Production School. As a student at Berklee College of Music, Brian takes his music production seriously and believes in improving his sound by understanding the fundamentals of music theory, sound design.
Going against the tide, the Brian doesn’t follow any trend, but relies on his own instinct and produces what feels right. Whether that being the sturdy sound of progressive house or any other electronic dance music genre, as long as it’s got the right energy and flow, it ends up in his sets.
Most recently, he has teamed up with a couple of Los Angeles promoters and has played several shows in the past year, including playing at Avalon Hollywood, one of his favorite venues. Brian is eager to conquer more stages, rock the world’s festivals and perform in clubs all around the globe.
TLUXX has been the supporting DJ for performers such as Quintino, Borgeous, Morten, Arty, Wolfgang Gartner, Dirty South, KhomHa, Jordan Suckley, Coone, Mark Breeze, GLD, Crisis ERA, Headhunterz, Zomboy, CandyLand, Cry Wolf, Riggi & Piros, MAKO, Party Favor and many more.
Brian founded and performs in the annual “Play It Forward” charity event, which raises over $2000 each year for a homeless teen shelter.
With a master plan in mind and the right mix of talent and determination, TLUXX might just be the next big thing you’ll hear about; and yes, you might want to listen up.

“7th Angel” is definitely yazum. The melody exudes smooth pizzazz and the infectious groove pulsates with textured energy. TLUXX has an innate feel for producing electronic dance music that acts as a capacitor for rhythmic and harmonic forces. The result is potent and very danceable.
This is one of the stronger progressive records we've come across in a while since SHM took the stage at Ultra.
TLUXX is definitely one of the most promising progressive house artists around! “Time Has Passed” has everything a great progressive house track needs a great lead, emotional buildup and most importantly a super powerful kick that cuts right through the mix!
